Many Rivers Regional Housing (Many Rivers) is a leading not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Housing Provider. Many Rivers’ vision is to Close the Gap in Aboriginal well-being through housing, partnerships and community development.
Many Rivers provides comprehensive property management services that are tenant-focused and culturally sensitive. Their property portfolio stretches from the Hunter Valley and Karuah in the south, to the Tweed Coast in the North and inland to the Moree Plains and the New England.
Many Rivers is an Aboriginal Corporation.
Many Rivers were a maintained client with Integer IT. They wanted to upgrade their IT systems, be ready for cloud delivered applications, and relocate their head office from Kempsey to Port Macquarie.
Integer IT mapped out the IT upgrade with a methodical approach over a 4 month period to plan the physical relocation to coincide with the end of the existing lease commitments in Kempsey, part of this involved the following:
Setting up Many Rivers to receive Not for Profit economically beneficial Microsoft Licensing and the decommissioning of on-premise Microsoft Exchange Server, migrating mailboxes to Microsoft Office 365.
Once completed we installed a new HP Server, Sophos Firewall and Network Attached Storage (NAS) to secure the localised incremental data back-ups.
As the proposed new office was vacant, we completed network cabling checks and fixes, and organised the NBN internet move to Commander data circuits for data connectivity with a separate channel for voice traffic. A new IP based Panasonic telephone system was installed ready for the big day.
All work was carried out prior to the moving date. The actual physical move from Kempsey to Port Macquarie became a lift & shift exercise. It went without a hitch as all the preparation work was completed beforehand.
Integer IT are now responsible for the whole network, and proactively support both the IT and Telephony infrastructure.
Many Rivers have adopted a hybrid approach to cloud computing for specific application delivery. With Microsoft Office 365 and a new cloud based housing application deployed, Many Rivers are operationally working as agile computer users.
Their field-based employees are constantly connected to cloud based databases via mobile devices. This way of working represents a cultural shift in the way Many Rivers operates. Embracing technology in this way provides many efficiencies and greatly enhances their ability to deliver their service and communicate.

It incorporates all our service offerings and it takes away the whole uncertainly clients experience when having to work with multiple suppliers and managing what provider is delivering what service and will they all do what they committed to at the right time.
Our converged data/voice expertise is how we like to approach all our clients.
